DataRoad designs and installs structured cabling networks with technical rigour and professional organisation — so that everything that follows works flawlessly.
Site coverage study
Measurement in your space, no obligation
Coverage map and point plan
Proposal with scope, timeframe and price
Business Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 with centralised management
Guest network separated from the internal network
Seamless roaming between access points
Design prior to construction
We survey the space, design the layout and validate it with you before running the first cable.
Point-based certification
Each socket is measured and receives a report, compared against the limits of the contracted category.
Management and documentation
A record is kept of what is connected to each port — and why. The network no longer relies on memory.
Switching and PoE power supply
Equipment sized for what the network will support, not for what costs less today.

Structured cabling
with certification included business networks
We install and certify CAT6 and CAT6A structured cabling systems, using Fluke equipment for certification and providing a point-to-point test report. Each project includes a preliminary survey, a cable routing plan, rack assembly and organisation, the labelling of all sockets, and performance testing.
We have already certified installations comprising 456 network points in public buildings and laid 6,000 metres of cabling in a data centre. We work in occupied buildings, phasing the work so that operations are not disrupted.
At the end, you will receive the full set of documentation: a network map, certification reports and a warranty for the installation.
A well-designed network is invisible: everything just works, every day. A makeshift network costs money — slow speeds, connection drops and lost team hours. DataRoad designs your local network architecture to suit your company’s operations: scaled to meet your current needs, ready to grow in the future, and fully documented so that you never have to rely on anyone’s memory.
We install certified structured cabling — Category 6, 6A, 7 and fibre optic — including design, testing and a warranty. For a decision-maker, this means one simple thing: an infrastructure that supports the company’s growth over the next 15 years, without the need for repeat works or budget surprises.
Not all sites are connected by cable — warehouses, industrial units or separate buildings are connected via professional wireless bridges. Our certified technicians select the right technology for each situation and ensure a stable and secure connection between all your company’s sites.
Structured cabling and certified computer networks
A certified structured network isn't just cables run neatly: it is a system designed, installed according to standards and measured at the end, with a report for each socket. It is this report that distinguishes a professional installation from one that just works until the load increases.
Measured certification
Every point is tested with certification equipment and supplied with a report.
Cat6A and fibre
Copper to the workstations, fibre between racks and floors.
Tidy chassis
Patch panels, labelling and cable management — for whoever comes next.
Documented
Floor plan showing socket numbering, handed over to the client at the end of the project.
Why certification matters
A badly terminated cable works. It connects, transfers files, nobody complains — until there is serious traffic, CCTV, PoE or a meeting with everyone on the same switch. That is when frame errors, intermittent drops and the wild goose chase for a problem nobody can reproduce appear. The certification test measures attenuation, crosstalk and length on each pair, and states, socket by socket, whether the installation complies with the standard. Without that report, the network is unproven.
What we installed
Cat6A copper cabling
Network points for workstations, printers, access points and cameras, with two points per workstation.
Fibre optic
Connection between backrooms, floors and buildings, with fusion splicing and optical measurement boxes.
Behind the scenes and energy
Sized, ventilated and enclosed rack, with patch panels, cable managers and UPS.
PoE switch
Managed PoE switches for access points, cameras and phones.
Guttering and infrastructure
Cable routes, trunking and chases, carried out with the minimum amount of building work possible.
CCTV
Cabling and points for IP cameras, over the same infrastructure.
How a construction project runs
Survey
Space visit, plants and number of points per zone.
Design and budget
Route, quantities and deadlines, with the price fixed before starting.
Execution
Routing, termination and rack assembly, phased so as not to interrupt operations.
Certification
Measurement of all points and delivery of the report and the numbered plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the certification charged separately?
No. It is included — an installation without a certification report is not a finished installation.
How many points per workstation?
Two, as a rule. It costs slightly more during construction and avoids desktop switches and cables all over the floor a year down the line.
Can it be done while the office is operating?
Yes, in phases and with the noisier work done outside normal hours. It's the most common scenario.
Do you work on new builds or only existing spaces?
In both. In new builds it's cheaper and cleaner, because you work alongside the builder instead of fixing things afterwards.
Do you certify wiring installed by others?
Yes. We measure and deliver the report with the actual state — it is common to find installations that pass a basic test and fail certification.
